Artist DHellums
I spent many years living in Scotland as a young man hiking in the Pentland Hills, just outside of Edinburgh. This is where I grew to love the outdoors and the flora and fauna that surrounded me there. Scotland is beautiful, but a harsh contrast to the abundant, warm sunlight of my childhood home in Texas which I greatly missed. I am sure that is why to this day, I paint with such intense light and bright colors.

DHellums is a highly acclaimed award-winning artist. One of his many awards was winning the coveted "Clem Ottis" painting scholarship at Sam Houston State University in Texas. He is classically trained with a master degree in fine art. He has sold his artwork both nationally and Internationally. He is presently represented in three galleries, two in Sarasota, Florida and one in Bradenton, Florida. The Galleries are The State of the arts Gallery ,Sarasota, The Frank Creaturo Gallery,Sarasota, and The Dancing Crane gallery, Bradenton. The Dancing Crane gallery is in the prestigious Village of the arts in Bradenton. He and his lovely wife Elizabeth have lived in Bradenton, Florida for many years.
